The Silver Jubilee Celebrations
Twenty-five years after Thennangudi was declared a parish, the whole parish family gathered to give thanks.
Procession & Flag Hoisting
Parishioners walked in procession through the streets of Thennangudi with the Sacred Heart banner and the children's band. The jubilee memorial stone was blessed, the ribbon was cut, and the jubilee flag was hoisted on the illuminated church tower amid cheers and fireworks — followed by a cultural programme, the honouring of parishioners, and Holy Mass at the open-air altar.
Solemn Jubilee Feast
The Bishop was welcomed at the church gate with kalasams, classical dance and the kummi of the women of the parish, and led in procession to the church. During the solemn Mass he administered First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation to the children of the parish, and afterwards honoured the sisters, catechists and benefactors who built up the parish over 25 years.

6.30 pm Holy Mass with Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. Confessions from 6.00 pm.

Monthly commemoration with Holy Mass at 6.30 pm and car procession.
Last day — Don Bosco
Commemoration of St. John Bosco with the kissing of his relic.
Third Sunday — Altar Servers
Meeting and training for the 30+ altar boys and girls from eight sub-stations.
First week — Catechists
Monthly meeting and preparation for the Sunday catechism teachers.
